Building Robust Test Automation for Machine Control Systems
Novatron needed a dedicated specialist to develop the test automation environment for its machine control software, covering performance, 3D visualization accuracy, update workflows, and multiple areas of non-functional testing.
How we helped
Rebase strengthened the client's existing test automation framework, raising code quality standards across the test suite and supporting the system under test's migration from Windows to Linux. We expanded performance testing coverage with real-time monitoring and dashboards, and brought in new testing methods, including using single-board computer hardware for WiFi and Bluetooth testing.
Results
The improved framework gave the client higher code quality and test coverage that kept pace with the system's move to Linux, along with new connectivity test coverage on real hardware. This left the team with a stronger foundation to scale automation further as the product evolves.
